Workers of Panama Canal
Workers came from Barbados by ships and were ready to start the Canal project. Stevens found the right workers who were ready to work, risking their lives and going through harsh treatment, for less than 10 cents an hour. As time passed, workers were able to bring in their families and start a colony for support and survival provisions.
